Game Interface
Main Game
Available choices will be highlighted in blue (card plays, forges), green (mobility, activate) or yellow (card text actions), or be presented on the red button in the middle-right of the board. Left click your mouse on what your heart desires. A red highlight indicates it will Cancel the current action.
Any card can be right clicked to view the details -- the card text and all levels for the card.
The field consists of the 5x2 grid of squares. Your lanes are on the bottom, your opponents are on the top.
Below the field are the cards in your hand. If you have more than five cards in hand, arrows will appear under the enemy player to scroll the view. A gold coin will appear beside your hand as a visual cue that there are more cards.
For creatures that have both an Activate
and Mobility
action available, clicking the creature will start the Mobility action, but the Activate choice will be presented on the main button. Selecting the Activate button will cancel the Mobility request and start the Activate.
Both players are shown on the right of the screen. The player you control is at the bottom, aligned with your hand of cards.
The icons on the player circle indicate health levels (blood drop), the current rank (purple orb), and the turn within the rank (green indicator on right that advances towards the rank count).
Additionally, any player Armor
, Poison
, or delayed / permanent effects (!
) will appear at the corners of the player circle when active.
Between the player icons are buttons with numbers. The green one will view the cards remaining in your deck. The red one shows the contents of your discard pile. The number indicates the card count of each.
There can also be card icons indicating your remaining plays. A blue card is a standard play, meaning any card with valid targets can be played or discarded. A green card indicates a free play is available. Right-clicking the green card will show the card that granted the free play.
When the AI is playing, none of the click actions will work (including right clicks to view card data and hand scroller arrows). Decision progress is displayed under the enemy player, a coin for each action. Coins turn gold as each analysis completes.
Creature View
Creatures on the board display the following information:
- The card name and level at the top.
- The creature's attack power at the lower left, over the red axe icon.
- The creature's health at the lower right, over the green plus icon.
- Any creature attributes in the lower middle of the card.
- A solforge ring over the creature art if the creature is sleeping.
Touch Screen Support
Tapping the mouse icon in the lower right will switch between left-click and right-click mode. The active button is highlighted on the icon. A standard tap will simulate a mouse click of the current mode.
To temporarily view card details without changing to right-click mode, touch and hold a card for one second.
Card Details View
This shows all the information for a card.
Use the level icons in the lower left to view different card levels. If the card has related cards, buttons will be presented on the lower right to switch the view to those cards. When viewing a related card, a Back

The card details view can be dismissed by clicking the Close
button, or clicking anywhere on the card image.

You can also select a different game playmat here. The classic 5 are provided, but the game colour schemes tend to work best with the default Uterra
background.
Advanced Options
This submenu will let you do deeper tweaks to the game.
Bot Brains
adjusts the decision-making tolerance of the AI opponent.Metamind
will always pick the choices it deems best. In theory this should provide the greatest challenge. Gameplay may feel repetitive as it will tend to favour the same picks.Savant
will select from the upper-tier choices. Moves will generally be sensible, with some variety mixed in.Wurm
is more "open to experiences" in making selections. It will still make reasonable picks, but can open up plays with less-popular cards.
Bot Priorities
will adjust how the AI calculates the value of each action. Higher levels will give that metric more priority. Adjusting these settings for a specific deck strategy can help the bot put up a better fight.Minions
will prefer having a creature present in a lane, regardless of its quality.Potency
will favour creatures of higher quality. This includes health, attack, effects like armor and regenerate, and the ability to impact itself or other creatures.Menace
will value a creature's potential to inflict damage. Primarily attack and breakthrough.Life Gain
will focus on increasing the player's life and defending against player damage.Life Drain
will relish in reducing the opponent player's life total.Deck
will respect improving the quality of cards in your deck for better future draws.Hand
will attempt to draw more cards into the players hand.- Minions, Potency, and Menace are symmetrical measures. For example, a high Minions setting will also result in the bot wanting to reduce your creature count as well as increase its own.
Random Filter
allows you to limit the qualifying decks selected in Random mode. This only appears when setting up a Constructed game.Good
categories are competitive decks who's dominant cards are from the sets listed. In general, later sets have more powerful cards.Average
decks are functional but are often at a disadvantage against Good decks.Jank
decks typically work on a gimmick or theme. Full of fun times but typically can't keep pace with stronger decks. Note that Infinity decks are in this category; once Energy Surge got Overload on L3, they are no longer infinite.Official
decks were from the original app and used to showcase new cards. They are cohesive but not top-tier.
Reset All
will appear if changes have been made. Clicking it will set everything back to the Mimicwurm default settings.
